The ACCME Accreditation Workshop is an essential professional development opportunity for those who are new to accredited continuing education. During this two-day meeting, we will explore together the ACCME’s requirements and expectations for accreditation and learn how to apply them to accredited continuing education as a tool for healthcare transformation.
Who should attend this Workshop?
Are you a new CME or continuing professional development (CPD) staff or committee member in need of some orientation to the CME environment?
Do you need help connecting your understanding of ACCME requirements to practices within your CME Program?
Would you like to develop strategies to more effectively communicate with the planners of your CME activities?
Are you looking for an opportunity to share ideas and network with your CME/CPD colleagues?
Would you like to find out what resources and tools are available on demand to answer your questions regarding CME requirements?
Are you thinking of pursuing ACCME accreditation?
If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, then we have designed this workshop with you in mind! You will walk away with a solid understanding of the ACCME’s accreditation process and expectations as well as practical strategies to plan and deliver quality education to your healthcare learners. We welcome the participation of both nationally-accredited and state-accredited organizations.
The workshop is also a great way to learn more about how to attain accreditation; but first, see if you are eligible for accreditation by visiting the information for first-time applicants on our website.
Optional Newcomers’ Curriculum
For those who are in the very beginning stages of their CME careers, we offer an additional, optional, online curriculum – Newcomers' Introduction to Accredited Continuing Education. See the Newcomers’ Add-on tab for more information.
